I was asked to design a crown shaped lettering, with blackletter letterforms for the book title “Bow Before the Elf Queen”, and book hard case back cover “Bow Before the Elf King”. During the conceptual phase, I payed attention to the differences between King and Queen crowns, and I wanted to make sure I convey those differences in my lettering design. I was provided with rough sketches of the artwork, and my job was to seamlessly integrate my lettering with the illustration.
